4 killed in US drone strike in North Waziristan
PESHAWAR: At least four persons were killed in a suspected drone strike that targeted a house in North Waziristan on Saturday, Geo News reported.

According to security officials, a drone fired two missiles at a house in Tehsil Mir Ali after which the house caught fire. Sources told that four dead bodies have been pulled out from the debris of the burnt house.

The Pakistani government has repeatedly protested against drone strikes as a violation of its sovereignty and there has been a decrease in their use.

During a visit to Islamabad at the start of August, US Secretary of State John Kerry suggested that drone strikes targeting Taliban and Al-Qaeda operatives in Pakistan could end "very soon" as the threat of militancy recedes.
