Cailee Spaeny sets record straight on Jacob Elordi romance rumours

Cailee Spaeny addressed the budding relationship with co-star Jacob Elordi after fans noticed a key detail.

The Priscilla stars dating speculations started after Elordi showed a picture of them performing karaoke together during an interview on the podcast Happy Sad Confused.

Spaeny, in an appearance on the Today morning show to promote her new movie Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, opened up about the photo.

“This was a great night. He's a dear friend and I'm so proud of him,” she said. “He came to London and I was in town, and the only way to celebrate anything is a night of karaoke, of course. So this is us probably singing Shakira or something, as you do."

"We were just celebrating his incredible performance in Frankenstein," she added. "He's just gotten two Golden Globe nominations for Frankenstein and his show Narrow Road to the Deep North, and I'm just so proud of him."

The two stars made headlines and instantly became fan favourites when they portrayed Priscilla Presley and Elvis Presley, respectively, in 2023's biopic Priscilla, a Sofia Coppola-directed adaptation of Priscilla's 1985 memoir Elvis and Me.

Elordi is currently basking in lime light following his role in Frankenstein and upcoming role of Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights releasing on February 14, 2026.

Meanwhile Spaeny’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is set to premiere on Netflix on December 12.
