Masood Janjua killed in S.Waziristan: Additional AG

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan was informed on Wednesday that Masood Janjua along with one other person had been killed in South Waziristan Agency.

A three member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the Masood Janjua missing person case. During proceedings, Chief Justice Chaudhry told the Additional Attorney General that eight years had passed yet there was no development regarding Masood Janjua.

The Additional Attorney General in response said according to his reports, Janjua and one other individual had been killed in South Waziristan.

Amina Janjua the wife of Masood Janjua appearing before the Supreme Court said that the government had incorrectly stated that her husband was a doctor. She added that the government had no information pertaining to her husband and were quoting foreign reports.

Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry summoned a report and adjourned the hearing of the case for the next two days.
