Karachi: Twenty-Nine more dengue viral fever cases were reported in Karachi on Friday, increasing the patients' toll to 1080 Since January 2013, said Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
Shakeel Mullick said that a total of 1143 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh province in this year so far, out of them 1080 were detected in Karachi and 63 in rest of province. He said eleven dengue patients expired in Karachi this year so far.
He said that 42 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the Sindh, while 21 patients were discharged from hospitals after treatment in the city. He said 29 new cases were reported in Karachi on 13th September and two cases were detected in Sukkur.
He informed that 48 cases were detected in Hyderabad, two in Kambar, two in Sanghar, two in Shikarpur, two in Thatta, Two in Sukkur, one in Larkana, one in Dadu, one in Khairpur, one in Naushero Feroz, and one in Kashmore since January 2013. (PPI)
