Why did King Charles make last-minute change in his plans?
Buckingham Palace makes crucial announcement about King Charles

As the royal family gears up for Easter celebrations ahead of King Charles' much-anticipated visit to the US, the Palace has shared a crucial update on the monarch's latest change in plans.

King Charles' office has confirmed he will not release Easter message this year.

"The monarch was excited and ready to deliver the Easter message, but controversy surrounding the royal family intervened, an insider claimed.

"King Charles was silled by chaos, his Easter message snatched from the jaws of his plans," they added.

The source continued: "The unseen pressures shaping the royal family's every move".

The  decision marks a difference from last year, when the monarch, 77-year-old shared a message on Maundy Thursday.

It is not an annual tradition like Christmas speech. The late Queen Elizabeth II did not frequently issue an Easter message either, opting to do so only during the coronavirus pandemic.

In his last year message, the monarch spoke of a deep human instinct that echoed in Islam and other religious traditions, and in the hearts of all who seek the good of others.

Despite not issuing a formal Easter message, the King and Queen Camilla did travel to North Wales to celebrate Maundy Thursday.

On the other hand, the King and Queen are set to vist the US on April 27 and attend a state banquet at the White House on April 28.

It will mark King Charles' first state visit to the US, aiming to celebrate 250 years of American independence.
