Benjamin Netanyahu publicly revealed that he was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer.
On Friday, April 24, the 76-year-old disclosed that he has already completed successful targeted radiation therapy.
Earlier, in December 2024, his office revealed that he underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate. But recently, Netanyahu confirmed that the reports uncovered that there’s a malignant tumor “less than a centimeter” in size.
In a social media video, he said, “Thank God, I am healthy. I had a minor medical issue with my prostate that was completely treated. It’s behind me.”
A source privy to the news has stated that the illness had been discovered some months back, but Netanyahu started receiving radiation treatment about 10 weeks ago. Letters penned by doctors made public through Netanyahu’s office mentioned that the cancer is “very small,” and there are “no metastases.”
However, Netanyahu justified the delay in announcing his yearly health update for two months, saying it was “to avoid false propaganda against Israel by Iran in light of the tension between them.”
The official team of doctors has confirmed that he is now completely cancer-free, stating the spot “disappeared completely.”
