RDR2 star Roger Clark weighs in on Arthur-Jason echoes in GTA 6: ‘Hard to say'

Since the release of Grand Theft Auto VI 'Extended Look' on Netflix, the gaming community has been looking for clues to draw parallels between Arthur Morgan and Jason, one of the protagonists of GTA 6.

Rockstar Games, though, has kept many details under wraps as we’re inching closer to the November launch.

The comparison made its way to a Red Dead Redemption panel talk, held at FanX Salt Lake Comic & Culture Convention on Friday, September 25, where Roger Clark and John Marston actor Rob Wiethoff were present.

When Clark was asked by a reporter of an online portal, Collider, Maggie Lovitt, what it feels like seeing fans searching for echoes of the character in GTA 6.

“Obviously there are going to be comparisons because it’s Rockstar’s next game,” Clark said.

He admitted, pointing to the chatter online, where people have been drawing parallels between the two characters.

Regarding the question of whether Jason and Aethur share any deeper resemblance, Clark said, “It’s hard to say until we actually get a go at it.”

Clark sees the comparisons as more of a compliment to the character he played, though he appeared not ready to jump to the conclusion about Jason.

“We have very limited information, but the trailers look amazing,” Clark commented, while adding, he expects Rockstar to “knock it out of the park again.”

But one answer Clark gave has left the GTA 6 community buzzing about whether they would be going to see the voice behind Jason.

When asked whether either actor would appear in GTA 6, Clark responded that he is not in it “to my knowledge,” but soon after quipped that he would give the same answer even if he were.

Clark’s answer was lighthearted and non-committal, he neither confirmed nor denied that he’d be a voice actor in GTA 6.

GTA 6 is slated for launch on November 19, 2026.
