Minecraft live 2026: List of everything announced

Mojang hosted Minecraft live on September 26, 2026, delivering a packed showcase of announcements for the franchise.

Major announcements from Minecraft Live 2026 are The Sift, Ice Caves, and Microsoft Dungeons 2.

The Sift Dimension

The Sift is coming to Microsoft Java and Bedrock edition in 2027. It is Minecraft’s first new dimension in more than 14 years, joining the Overworld, Nether, and End as the game’s official fourth dimension. The Sift will debut first in Minecraft Dungeons 2, described as an environment rich with souls.

Ice Caves

Ice Caves are the next game drop, adding a rare underground extension of cold biomes with glowing ice crystals. A new hostile mob, the frozen zombie, applies stacking freezing effects with melee attacks and throws damaging ice balls.

Normal crystals can be placed vertically and horizontally and used as light sources. Ice balls can be used as weapons or crafted into potions.

Minecraft Dungeons 2

The sequel launches Tuesday, September 29. 2026. It features an interconnected open world, parkour sections, jump attacks, and the town of Bravehaven. Players help villagers find a new home while investigating a soul corruption in the Overload. The Sift dimension debuts here first. Post-launch DLC is confirmed.

Minecraft World

London’s Chessington World of Adventures will host the world’s first official Minecraft hotel and the Escape the Nether rollercoaster, opening next year. Merlin Entertainments and Mojang Studios announced the partnership.

Minecraft Marketplace

Official sound effects packs arrive on the Minecraft marketplace later this year, offering players new ways to personalize their experience.

New Creator Platform

Mojang announced a new creator platform designed to get more people building experience within Minecraft, hinting at a challenge to Roblox. Details remain vague.

No End Update

Mojang ruled out an end update, disappointing fans who speculated on Enderman teases in the trailer.
