Girl in Red excited fans with a new update as we head into autumn, and her song we fell in love in october has marked its annual resurgence.

The 27-year-old Norwegian musician, whose real name is Marie Ulven Ringheim, recently earned a new streaming milestone with the song, and climbed up to the Global Spotify charts again.

Following the achievement, the midnight love hitmaker surprised fans with the launch of a new cover for the song. 

The famous red sweater in the cover has now been changed to blue, and fans immediately noticed and flocked to social media, debating whether it means something significant.

One fan on X wrote, "wait WHAT," and "what’s going on?!" echoed another.

A third chimed in, "new album dropping???" and "OH SHE'S COMING."

Adding to the theories, someone noted, "She also posted something with a blue heart on her ig story," while another agreed, "mother is literally rebranding october and i'm SEATED. the blue era is happening."
