Taylor Swift drops subtle Easter Egg in VMAs acceptance speech

Taylor Swift just received her sixth Music Video of the Year award at the MTV VMAs, and seemingly slipped an Easter Egg into her acceptance speech which fans have now caught on.

The 36-year-old pop superstar was awarded for her music video of The Fate of Ophelia, and during her speech she reflected on how she has been making videos for 20 years, and has roughly made "60" videos so far.

While the Opalite hitmaker has made 'roughtly' around the same, Swifties were puzzled by the number as she just released her '59th' music video, reaching the number with Patient Zero, which she premiered at the award ceremony.

Flocking to social media, Swifties got their detective hats on, and began to theorise, writing, "They also had a playlist of all of her music videos on Spotify or something recently right? Directing us to them for a reasonnn."

Another added, "if taylor nation didn’t push the strong 58 video rewatch this week I wouldn’t be AS suspicious! Clowning is all part of the fun for me!," and "it’s definitely debut tv vault track mv."

Someone mused, "It better be a part 2 for patient zero because now I’m invested in this physiological thriller story."

While another chimed in, "i'm way too delusional to listen to that 'roughly' before the 60, debut tv is COMING," and "I SAID THE SAME THING!! right after mentioning how she’s done it for 20 years too. taylor I see you bestie," wrote another.

While Swift has not confirmed any theories, it's not for her to let things slip incidentally.
