Prince Harry and Meghan Markle experience a major security scare for their children just as they thought their latest decision would offer them more relief.

Just days after, the Sussexes had switched schools of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, two European paparazzi photographers were spotted outside the premises of the new school.

This is understood to be a “frightening” episode for the family as they issued a fiery statement in response to the privacy breach. However, the children are protected by law in the circumstances.

Harry and Meghan believed that they understood the British press but the latest incident has left them “stunned” especially Meghan. However, they didn’t realise that Britain has upgrades its protocols for children, owing to Princess Diana.

Under IPSO’s Editors’ Code, pupils should be able to complete their schooling without unnecessary intrusion, while journalists generally cannot approach or photograph children at school without permission from school authorities.

“They didn’t realise how specifically children are protected here,” a source told Rob Shuter.

“They thought California meant protection and Britain meant intrusion,” the source added.

“What they’re discovering is that, when it comes specifically to press protections surrounding children and schools, Britain has rules that could give Archie and Lilibet protections Harry simply didn’t have growing up.”

There is reportedly a police investigation taking place and security has tightened around the school. It is understood that the Palace would have learned of this news as well.

The source explained that the rules were put in place in the years after Diana’s death given how it affected her.

“Harry left Britain haunted by what happened to his mother. Now his children will benefit from a system transformed because of what happened to her.”
