Claudia Winkleman admitts she gets 'scared' during 'Traitors' pick

Claudia Winkleman has a surprising rule to follow when filming The Celebrity Traitors.

The presenter is not allowed to wear jewellery during the moment when the Traitors are chosen.

Executive producer Sarah Fay explained why the rule is so strict.

“Claudia is not allowed jewellery when we do the Traitors pick. We’re very strict on that, in case it jangles.”

The small detail could make a big difference during the tense part of the show. Claudia chooses the Traitors while sitting around a table, and even the smallest sound could give viewers a clue.

Claudia has her own way of making the moment even harder to read. She has said that she sometimes taps her shoes on the floor while making her choices.

She also admitted that she gets “scared” during the Traitors pick.

“I have to wear spiky, noisy, scary shoes. I feel like I’m doing flamenco because I stop a lot.”

Claudia has also joked that she would not be good enough to play the game herself.

“I'm too thick. I mustn't play it in public. I must not, thank you so much.”

The Celebrity Traitors returns to BBC One and iPlayer on Thursday, October 1, at 8pm.
