Joe Jonas has learned that washing his face and hoping for the best isn’t exactly a skincare routine.
The Jonas Brothers singer, 37, opened up to People magazine about his evolving beauty habits, revealing that he has become much more intentional about looking after his skin — especially after learning the hard way that sometimes, less is more.
“I used to think my skin was just fine by washing my face at night, until I started to learn [that] skin care is really key,” Joe said.
He added that he has spent the last few years figuring out how his skin reacts to different products.
That lesson became especially clear after filming a movie, when his skin suddenly rebelled.
“I started breaking out quite a bit. I couldn’t figure it out. There [were] little things that I think that I probably used too much of or too fast, so I’m trying to slow down.”
Joe has never been shy about discussing men’s skincare. In 2022, he explained why he was comfortable talking about everything from skincare to cosmetic treatments.
“I don’t think it’s necessarily something that we have to shy away from,” he told the outlet. “We can be open and honest about it and be confident and not really shy away from speaking our truth.”

“We’re all getting older and part of that is being comfortable [in our skin],” he added while discussing his use of Xeomin for frown lines.
Now, Joe is spending plenty of time with Nick and Kevin on their Burning Up Tour All Over Again. And apparently, there’s one easy way to start a sibling argument: borrow each other’s products.
Still, the brothers have found their rhythm.
“What we’ve all realized, after a long day, we just want to sit in somebody’s hotel room, decompress, put sports on mute and just catch up,” Joe said.
“We’ve been trying to find ways to give each other their flowers,” he added. For the Jonas brothers, it all comes down to “balance.”
