Zayn Malik made an emotional return to Chile with his debut solo concert.
Twelve years after he last performed in the South American country as a member One Direction, the 33-year-old singer returned to Santiago on Friday, October 2, bringing his highly anticipated KONNAKOL Tour to the Santander Arena.
The Dusk Till Dawn hitmaker performed songs from his latest album alongside favourites from his solo career, including sHe, It’s You and What I Am.

The crowd responded with loud sing-alongs throughout the night, while fan-shared videos captured the energetic atmosphere inside the arena, including a spectacular 360-degree view of the audience during What I Am.
The night’s star also took a moment to reflect on his return to Chile. According to a fan who shared footage and comments from the concert, the Pillowtalk chart-topper told the crowd, “It’s been 14 years since I’ve been here. That makes me feel really f------ old.”
“But it feels amazing to be back, you guys have really welcomed me here. I feel the love and I hope you guys enjoy yourselves tonight and have a good time,” he added.
Although Malik referred to the gap as 14 years during his onstage remarks, his previous performances in Chile took place on April 30 and May 1, 2014, when he was still a member of One Direction.
His October 2, 2026 appearance therefore came roughly 12 years after his last performances in the country.
