Afghan nationals nabbed for involvement in dacoities

ISLAMABAD: Shalimar police Islamabad has busted a gang of dacoits and recovered weapons cash and looted valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said on Thursday.

According to details SP (Saddar) Jameel Ahmed Hashmi constituted special teams to trace the dacoits involved in crimes in the area after receiving some complaints.

One of the team busted an Afghan gang involved in dacoities. The gang members have been identified as Faiz Karim alias Mashoor having Afghan nationality and others as Sher Dil Sohail alias Babu Hussain alias Pehlwan Haq Nawaz and Sher Muhammad.

Police team also recovered four pistols lap top camera wrist watches and cash from their possession.

Sohail alias Babu and Karim are proclaimed offenders and already wanted to Ramana police in dacoity and theft cases. They have confessed their involvement in 12 cases of dacoities in Ramana and Margalla police area while further investigation is underway.
