LAHORE: British immigration has dismissed the FIA investigation of the Olympic visa scandal.
According to sources, the British Immigration Liaison Manager for Gulf, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan sent a reply in which he dismissed the FIA investigation.
Sources further add that the reply by the British immigration reveals that the claim made by Pakistani authorities regarding Muhammad Ali Asad is not true.
The British Immigration Liaison Manager wrote that the real Muhammad Ali Asad is a reporter for ‘The Sun’ who travelled to Pakistan and gave a story regarding NADRA and the passport office.
The Muhammad Ali Asad mentioned by FIA officials and who had the fake passport made was given a two year visa in 2002 which finished in 2004; however he is still in Britain.
