KARACHI: The days of the cold war are over and now it is being expected that several economic deals could be signed during Russian president Vladimir Putin’s visits to Pakistan on October 2.
According to sources from Pakistan's Ministry of Finance, trade agreements between Russia and Pakistan in each other’s currencies are likely during the next month's visit of the Russian president.
Agreements are also expected in connection with the expansion of banking networks of both sides in each other's countries.
Sources say that Russia will also help Pakistan in the expansion of the steel mill, raising its annual production capacity to 3 million tons.
Russia will also assist Pakistan in the Thar coal project.
