PPP core committee authorizes PM to contact parties

ISLAMABAD: The core committee of the ruling Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has authorized Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf to contact all the political parties amid hectic political activities in the country months ahead of the general elections.

The core committee of the PPP made the above decision to authorize the Prime Minister to come in contact with the political leaders of other parties at its meeting here on Tuesday.

The PM will now start holding talks with national leaders on matters relating to the upcoming general elections and the caretaker set-up.
