ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has sought an additional grant of Rs.5.10 billion to meet election expenses, Geo News reported.
The ECP has asked financial division for additional grant of Rs5.099 billion, that included Rs.1.26 billion for election allowances and Rs.1 billion for publication of ballot papers, posters and placards.
Minister for Law Farooq H Naek has informed the Senate in written that ECP has requested for additional grant to finance division to meet election expenses.
According to details, Rs1.26 billion would be needed for election allowances, Rs480 mn for transportation of election material, Rs450 mn for advertisement expenses, Rs148 mn for purchase of election material, Rs215 mn for ballot boxes and voting screens and others.
