PIA to induct four new aircraft next month
ISLAMABAD: MD Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Junaid Younis said modern airplanes would be inducted in the PIA fleet by next month.

During a briefing to special committee of the National Assembly headed by Samsam Bukhari on Wednesday, the PIA MD said that with the new inductions, the PIA would save Rs20 billion a year on account of fuel consumption. He said the management was also considering closing the facility of serving meal in its flights as short as hour and a half, which would cause decrease in ticket price as well as an additional profit of Rs3 billion a year to the airline.

He told the committee that delay of flights was an international phenomenon and it was not a rare occurring in the PIA operations.
