Karachi short of water as Dhabeji pumping station shuts down
KARACHI: Owing to a power breakdown, which rendered one the largest pumping stations non-operational, Pakistan's largest city has been hit with a shortage of at least 100 million gallons of water since Sunday evening, Geo News reported.

According to sources in Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB), Dhabeji pumping station has not pumped a single gallon of water for the last very many hours as Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) wast yet to restore its power.

The affected areas of District Central, South and East included Korangi, Landhi, Shah Faisal, Gulistan e Jauhar, Mehmoodabad and North Nazimabad.
