Our friends, enemies are common, say Britain, Pakistan PMs
ISLAMABAD: British Prime Minister David Cameron declared that Pakistan's enemies were enemies of Britain, Geo News reported.

Addressing a joint press conference here, the prime ministers of Pakistan and Britain said that the people and the governments' of both the countries have strong ties and the democracies in the two countries have further strengthened it.

Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif on this occasion said that global and regional issues were discussed in the meeting. He added that Britain was a close friend of Pakistan and the economic ties between the two countries would be further strengthened.

PM Nawaz Sharif further added, that while reviewing strategic ties between the two countries, the menace of terrorism also came under discussion. He expressed his desire that the existing three million Afghan refugees could return to their homes. Pakistan wanted Afghan peace talks to make headway.

Later, British Prime Mister David Cameron in his address said that the peaceful transition of power in Pakistan augured well. He said that joint efforts would be made for the eradication of terrorism.

“Pakistan’s enemies are Britain’s enemies and friends of Pakistan are Britain’s friends”, he said.

David Cameron said that Britain was the second largest investors in Pakistan. He said that talks with Pakistan would continue on different matters of mutual interest.

Both the leaders vowed to work together for the elimination of terrorism.
