ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs and National Security, Sartaj Aziz said on Thursday the US had conducted 50 drone strikes last year and 20 this year which was an indication that Washington was feeling pressure over the issue.
Speaking to reporters outside Parliament, Aziz said US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel had not made any threat to stop military aid to Pakistan.
Aziz added that no pressure had been applied on Afghanistan to sign a security pact with the US.
When asked about the Pak-Iran gas pipeline, Aziz replied that Islamabad was seeking an extension in the 2014 deadline.
