Bodies found at Kheenjhar Lake tomb shifted to Karachi
KARACHI: Bodies of the five men who were gunned down in mysterious circumstances in the middle of the Keenjhar lake in Thatta have been shifted to Karachi after preliminary postmortem.

According to reports, the deceased who were identified as Major (retd) Jahangir Akhtar, Captain (retd) Bilawal, Adnan Saeed, Muhammad Ali and Suhail Ahmed.

The deceased belonged to Gilgit Baltistanm Rawalpindi and Karachi respectively. SSP Thatta the bodies were taken to the Civil Hospital Thatta for autopsy and an investigation team had also been formed to probe the murders. According to the initial postmortem report, the five men were shot in the head from a point-blank range.

According to Geo News correspondent Shahid Siddiqui, the five men had arrived at Keenjhar Lake from Karachi and took a boat trip to the tomb of Noori Jam Tamachi located in the middle of the lake. Upon arrival at the tomb, the tourists asked the boat man to leave them there for a while and pick them up later.

After a while, when the boat man went back to pick them up from the tomb, he found all the five men lying dead in a pool of blood. He immediately called the police and it was discovered that all the five men were gunned down by unknown assailants.

The incident sent a wave of fear and panic across the area while police is investigating into the event.
