LAHORE: President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist (PFUJ) Afzal Butt on Tuesday asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to tender an apology for leveling baseless allegations against journalists.
Talking to the Geo News, PFUJ President Afzal Butt announced that journalists will stage protest demonstrations at press clubs across Pakistan and before Imran Khan’s container in Islamabad, in case the PTI chief fails to clarify his allegations within three days.
He further said that journalist would cover PTI’s Larkana Public Rally on November 21 with black armbands, if Imran Khan did not apologize.
Mr. Butt asked PTI chief Imran Khan to share the evidence in support of his allegations against any journalist, cameraman or photographer. He promised that those found involved will be thrown out of the journalists body with their membership canceled.
