KP govt was alerted in advance about Peshawar attack
PESHAWAR: The government authorities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had received advance information of the terrorist attack on Army Public School, according to the proof obtained by Geo News in writing.

The warning of the threat in writing had been dispatched by the Federal Interior Ministry to the concerned authorities on August 28, 2014 along with the instructions to take necessary precautionary measures to preempt the attack.

The copies of the warning were sent to the Chief Minister KP, Home Minister and the provincial law enforcing agencies.

The alert no 802 had stated that the outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban (TTP) and militant commander in Orakzai Agency Khaksar Amir had in collaboration with two other terrorists planned attacks on Army Public School and colleges being run under the administration of Pak Army.

It said the reports also suggested that the terrorists had also conducted survey of the targets they were planning to attack.
