Asif asks Afghanistan for resolve to eliminate terrorists

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has urged Afghanistan to show resolve to eliminate terrorists in the same manner as Pakistan wiped out hideouts of Afghan militants in the tribal region.

Speaking during Geo News programme, Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath, Khawaja Asif said, “The region cannot witness peace until there is tranquility in Afghanistan.”

The minister admitted that terrorists cannot be eliminated completely.

"Even the armies of 16 countries could not achieve as much success as Pakistan achieved alone, however, Pakistan's victory against terrorists would benefit the entire region and the world," Khawaja Asif added.
