The cast of award-winning actor Scarlett Johansson's directorial debut ''Eleanor The Great'' were full of praise for Johansson's skills behind the camera as the film screened at the Toronto Film Festival on Monday (September 8).

After greeting fans and signing autographs Johansson told reporters on the red carpet that directing ''feels very much like an extension'' of what she does anyway.

"I also love to answer questions and make decisions and do all of that stuff too, that is exciting to me. So it felt very much just like a very fulfilling experience for me because of that.''

"Eleanor the Great, stars 95-year-old June Squibb as the titular Eleanor, who, due to a case of mistaken identity, tries to pass as a Holocaust survivor as she seeks to make new friends after moving to New York City.

"Working with her (Scarlett Johansson).... was great. I loved it. I think she's such a leader and she's very decisive, which is wonderful in a director,'' Squibb said.

Sentiments echoed by actor Chiwetel Ejiofor who plays the character of Roger in the movie.

''Scarlett (is) .... a great communicator and had a real vision for the story and the tone that she wanted.....everybody knows that she's a phenomenal actress. But it was.....really great to be around watching her kind of seamlessly slip into the role of director as well.'' He said.

"Eleanor the Great'' is out in the US on September 26.
