U.S. President Donald Trump bid farewell to Britain’s King Charles at Windsor Castle on Thursday (September 18) following Wednesday’s events of pomp and ceremony.

"A great gentleman and a great King," Trump told reporters before shaking King Charles' hand and leaving the castle grounds.

Trump will meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday at Chequers for talks designed to focus the U.S. leader's unprecedented second state visit firmly on global affairs rather than domestic political problems.

Later, the two leaders will hold a press conference.
