Does PCB check players fitness after including them in team: Mohsin
KARACHI: Former chief selector Mohsin Khan felt awkward for Shoaib Malik and Abdul Razzaq who were declared unfit for the South Africa tour questioning the board that do they conduct the physical fitness test of the players after announcing them in the team.

Shoaib and Razzaq were declared unfit for the South Africa tour on Tuesday. Both cricketers who were part of Pakistan’s 15-man squad for the series will be sent back home.

Pakistan will play two Twenty 20s and three ODIs against South Africa.
Mohsin said I request the PCB to now include youngsters in the squad in place of Shoaib and Razzaq.

Mohsin further said the PCB should also give a chance to former captain Younis Khan in the team now for SA series.

Younis is a very talented player and I feel the blend of youth and experience can make the team formidable, he said.

While praising captain Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohsin said many ex-cricketers and others have been criticizing him for his strike rate but I believe without Misbah the team cannot perform up to the mark.

Speaking of the mistakes that made Pakistan lost their home series to South Africa, Mohsin said there was no game plan in the series which was up to the coach and captain to make. The other thing was that batsmen performed below par in the series, he said adding that no appropriate batting order was also a reason for the team’s loss. (APP)
