KARACHI: Shafiq Tanoli a well known inspector of the Karachi police who was the target of a suicide attack on Friday night in the Old Sabzi Mandi area of the city said that the attacker was 20-22 years old.

In an exclusive interview with Geo News correspondent Zill-e-Haider, Tanoli said the motorcycle of the suicide bomber slid and that is when the blast took place. Tanoli added that the suicide bomber was wearing shalwar kameez. “I jumped out of the car after the blast,” Tanoil said.

Two people were killed and 21 injured in the suicide attack targeting Tanoli as he was returning to his residence near the Pakhtoon Chowk.

An initial investigation report of the blast has been prepared by the police. According to the report, police have found the engine and chassis number of the motorcycle used in the attack.

Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that Shafiq Tanoli was investigating the murder case of Geo News correspondent Wali Khan Babar.
