Anti-Polio campaign to vaccinate IDPs in KPK
PESHAWAR: A three-day anti-polio campaign will begin from Saturday in 6 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to vaccinate children who have migrated from North Waziristan as IDPs.

According to sources, the risk of polio spreading in areas where the migrant children are now residing is higher and therefore the vaccination drive will target the six districts, Hangu, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, Karak and Tank, where the IDPs have taken up temporary residence.

Sources further add that a target of administering the polio vaccine to over 500,000 children during the three-day drive has been set. To achieve this target 4,000 teams will visit IDP camps and homes where the migrant children are residing.
