5.2 magnitude earthquake rocks parts of KP, Islamabad
PESHAWAR: Tremors were felt in various parts of Khyber Pakhunkhwa as well as the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi as earthquake measuring 5.2 was recorded on the Richter Scale on Thursday evening.

People felt earth shaking at around 5:14 PM in Peshawar, Swat, Buttagram, Dirbala as well as in Rawalpindi and Islamabad as a result of the 5.2 magnitude quake whose epicenter was located 100 kilometers deep in Hindu Kush mountainous region in Afghanistan.

People inside the buildings and houses panicked as they felt the jolts and immediately came out under the open sky to avert any eventuality.

However, no reports of any damage to life and property have so far been received from any part of the country.
