Lahore: Ghee prices shoot up to Rs170/kg

KARACHI: Shortage of edible oil/ghee persists in Lahore owing to a supply halt from Karachi, Geo News reported.

The dearth has even pushed the price of lower quality ghee to Rs170/kilogramme.

Market sources told Geo News that if things didn’t improve ghee prices would touch Rs200/kg before long.

Traders said by creating this artificial crisis the manufactures want to jack the prices up.

They appealed to the government to address the situation.
