KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan's (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar on Sunday reiterated the party's demand that Nine Zero should be unsealed soon.

Farooq Sattar, after a series of within party meetings, addressed media personnel where he said that MQM's political activities should not be interrupted.

“Nothing happens due to one person’s speech,” Sattar said, adding that the party would not let its 38 years’ struggle go to waste.

MQM Pakistan’s leader Farooq Sattar said that the party’s mandate and political ownership should be accepted.

“Our tomorrow’s press conference would be entertaining,” Sattar remarked during his speech.

Earlier, MQM Central Executive Committee and parliament members’ session went underway under the chairmanship of Farooq Sattar.

The CEC session was attended by party leaders Amir Khan, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and others.

During the meeting, the country’s current political situation and organisational matters were discussed.

Sattar took the party members into confidence over the prevailing situation, the spokesman said.

Upon MQM MNA Asif Hasnain’s joining of Mustafa Kamal’s Pak Sar Zameen Party, Farooq Sattar remarked that those who left MQM would eventually come back.

MQM has been in hot waters since its workers resorted to violence following the party chief's inflammatory speech and surrounded media houses on August 22.

So far, 18 party offices have been demolished and 218 sealed in Karachi.
