First Hijab designer featured at NY Fashion Week

Jakarta-based designer Anneisa Hasibuan marked her return to the New York Fashion Week with unique women’s evening wear combining classic Western styles with the Muslim Hijab.

Hasibuan’s evening dresses infused the Western glamour with Muslim tradition and Indonesian ethnic flair in a classy concoction of fashion. The designer took the headscarf and combined it with pajama pants and chic layering, turning it into a high-fashion runway mainstay.

Models donning her designer wear and the headscarf walked the runway at the NY Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017 collection catwalk show.
