KARACHI: Senior leader of MQM-Pakistan Aamir Khan on Saturday lambasted MQM-London leadership for party's downfall and leaving thousands of workers stranded in difficult times.

Khan said, moments after a raid at the party`s headquarters, Wasay Jalil left for London, leaving the party on its own, labeling him as ‘social media king’.

“The day after the raid, Jalil left for London without informing anyone,” he said. “You left the workers stranded but still demand their sacrifices for the party.”

Taking his ire at Imbisat Mallick, Khan alleged him of earning around half a million rupees per month through cable connection charges. “May I please ask what is his contribution to the party,” he questioned.

Mounting his rant further, he alleged that the younger brother of Mustafa Azizabadi, was involved in financial scams in Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and that he has as many as ten land plots in a row in Landhi.

“Azizabadi and his group pushed the party to its lowest,” he said.

Aamir Khan also alleged that the brother of Muhammad Anwar, Chunnu, was ‘King of China-cutting’ in Karachi and through him, the former has drained millions out of the metropolis.

Earlier, MQM-Pakistan and MQM-London workers came face to face during a cleanup drive in the city’s Shah Faisal Colony area on Thursday.

Khan had blamed MQM-London leaders Wasay Jalil and Mustafa Azizababi for the disturbances, he said that those who are living in London were putting workers in Karachi in a difficult position.

MQM-London`s response

Reacting to hard-hitting statements of senior leader MQM-Pakistan Amir Khan, MQM-London said that their detractors were  mudslinging on establishment`s behest.

In an issued statement from the party`s London office, it said that those who disassociated with the central leadership in the time of crisis stabbed the Urdu speaking community at back and caused immense damage.
