SRINAGAR: The Indian government on Monday sabotaged a Seerat Conference scheduled at Hurriyet chairman Syed Ali Gilani’s residence in Srinagar.
The entire Hurriyet leadership including Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Yasin Malik were invited at the event. Authorities placed Mirwaiz Umer Farooq under house arrest.
Police was deployed outside Gilani’s residence to prevent anyone from reaching the venue.
Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Yasin Malik was not allowed to reach the event.
