MULTAN: A unique way of improving mental health is gaining popularity in Multan, where citizens gather at a local park to indulge in what they call an hour of “laughter yoga”.

Participants of the class perform various poses of yoga, all the time laughing as they exhale.

“The class helps get rid of stress and anger. When you get home you feel fresh, happy,” one of the participants told Geo News.

An instructor of the class said that the idea was to bring people back to parks and livening up public spaces.

Health experts agree that laughter is good for health, as it uses 300 muscles of the body.
