Tents set up for patients fail to provide relief
Patients wait in scorching outside heat as Civil Hospital Umerkot undergoing construction

UMERKOT: A distressing incident of official apathy emerged on Friday when patients of Civil Hospital Umerkot were seen seeking treatment under tents in the scorching heat.
The hospital is currently under construction due to which the paediatrics, gynaecology and general wards were closed and a tent was set up in front of the hospital.
However, there was no provision of pedestal fans in the tents and patients continued to wait in soaring temperatures while seeking treatment.
Umerkot Civil Surgeon Dr Muhammad Jam remarked that he is not sure till when the construction of the hospital will be completed.
