KARACHI: Moderate monsoon currents which are penetrating the country are expected to weaken in the next 24 hours, said the Pakistan Meteorological Department on Thursday.
A westerly wave which is affecting upper parts of the country is also likely to move eastwards in the next 24 hours.
Rain and thundershowers with strong gusty winds are expected in scattered areas on Karachi, Kashmir, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad and Shaheed Benazirabad divisions, added the PMD.
The PMD has warned that there is a risk of landslides in hilly areas of KP, Gilgit-Baltstan and Kashmir.
