Railways minister topples over from roof of car during Nawaz rally

RAWALPINDI: Minister of Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique toppled over from the roof of a vehicle during former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's rally here late Wednesday night.

Rafique was attempting to step down from the car's roof when his foot slipped and he tumbled to the ground — taking a police officer with him in the process.

However, both the police officer and the minister were unharmed.

Following his short fall, Rafique proceeded to enter the container of the former prime minister.

Rafique, a veteran Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz  leader, is a member of the National Assembly from Lahore.
