One killed in clash between PTI, PML-N workers

KHANEWAL: One person was killed and two others injured in a clash between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers in Khanewal early Friday morning.

According to the police, the deceased, identified as Amir, belonged to PML-N. 

A case has been registered against 13 PTI workers.

The workers of the opposing political parties had also clashed during Independence Day rally earlier. They clashed again near Khanewal’s Al-Hadees Chowk on Friday, and attacked each other with sticks and iron rods.

As a result, a second-year student, identified as Amir, was killed and two others injured. One person also went missing in the clash. 

The injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital.

The missing person, identified as Rana Bilawal, was found outside his house in an injured condition. 

Police are conducting operations to arrest suspects who managed to escape after the clash. So far, one suspect has been nabbed.
