KARACHI: The third charity golf tournament in support of Deaf Reach Schools and Training Centers was hosted by the Defence Authority Country & Golf Club on Sunday.
The Deaf Reach Schools and Training Centers is a project of Family Education Services Foundation (FESF) which is a non-profit educational organization active in Pakistan since 1984. FESF is focused on improving the quality of life, especially for disadvantaged members of the community.
70 golfers took part in the charity 18-hole tournament, teeing off on gun shot. Remaining riveting to the end, the tournament concluded by midday with golfers finishing all 18 holes.
The closing ceremony acknowledged the competitors and included the presentation of trophies. This was followed by a moving performance of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s ‘Wohe Khuda Hai’ in Pakistan sign language by students of Deaf Reach School.
