Kadhafi envoy to meet Greek PM in Athens

ATHENS: An envoy of Moamer Kadhafi's embattled Libyan regime, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Abdelati Obeidi, will meet Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou in Athens Sunday, Papandreou's office said.

Papandreou was to meet Obeidi late Sunday "at the request of the Libyan prime minister," Al-Baghdadi Ali Al-Mahmudi, the Greek prime minister's office said in a statement.

It said Papandreou had spoken to the Libyan prime minister on Saturday as well as Qatari Prime Minister Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al Thani. Papandreou also spoke with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday, the statement said. (AFP)
