ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday watched the animated film The Donkey King in Islamabad.

The PPP chairman was accompanied by Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwalla, Senator Sherry Rehman, Mustafa Nawaz Khokar and Jameel Somroo.

Released on October 13th under the banner of Geo Films, The Donkey King has shattered box office records held by other animated films by collecting Rs40 million in its first week.

The film has overtaken the record set by 3 Bahadur: The Revenge of Baba Balaam as the highest grossing animated film in Pakistan.

Written, directed and co-produced by Aziz Jindani, The Donkey King is equally popular among the young and the old.

The film's brisk pace together with top-notch visuals and voiceover quality makes it a treat to watch for all ages. The catchy title track 'Donkey Raja' and dialogue 'My name is Mangu Mangu Jan Mangu — the washing machine' has caught the attention of children.

What makes The Donkey King unique is its relatable storyline and interesting characters. The tongue and cheek dialogues only add to the film's overall entertainment value.

The film's stellar cast includes renowned actors such as Afzal Khan (aka Jan Rambo) who voices the lead character Mangu while actress Hina Dilpazeer's voices Miss Fitna and the legendary Ghulam Mohiuddin as Badshah Khan.
