Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has put all rumours to rest regarding a Kuch Kuch Hota Hai sequel.

The iconic Bollywood film recently completed 20 years of its release and rumours were rife that a sequel of the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer was in the making.

Indian publication Bollywood Hungama reported that a source close to Karan Johar had confirmed the news, “Karan has cracked an idea for a sequel. Now, all he needs to do is to develop it, which he’s doing and pretty soon there will be an announcement.”

The publication had further claimed that Karan had not finalised the cast but was considering Tiger Shroff, Alia Bhatt and Disha Patani. Karan may not direct the sequel himself as he is busy directing his next venture Takht, the report had added.

However, KJo, who made his Bollywood directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, responded with a simple "no" to a tweet from the publication asking whether he will be making a sequel to the film.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai which featured Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee, was one of the biggest blockbusters of 1998.
