LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) recovered cash and prize bonds worth Rs300 million from the house of a former grade-16 government officer in Lahore on Friday, officials said.

NAB officials raided the residence inside a private housing society on Lahore's Mohlanwal Road. The officials recovered Rs100 million in Pakistani currency during the raid, they said.

The suspect, whose identity has not been revealed yet, had also stashed prize bonds worth Rs170 million and around Rs30 million in foreign currency of 11 countries.

Officials said there had also been evidence of huge properties registered in the name of the suspect.

They further said the NAB director general has ordered an inquiry against the suspect for owning assets beyond means.
