ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency has arrested anchor Shahid Masood in relation to the Pakistan Television corruption case.

Masood was appointed PTV chairman in the tenure of Pakistan Peoples Party-led government and is accused of corruption worth around Rs33 million.

The FIA were on the lookout for the absconding former PTV chairman as Masood had fled a local court in Islamabad in October after it rejected his bail plea in PTV corruption case.

Special judge central Kamran Basharat Mufti had read the decision of the state television’s corruption case. In the proceedings, the FIA had argued against Masood’s pre-arrest bail.
