Recipe: Pista Kheer

Pistachios are prized for their unique, slightly sweet flavour as well as for their intriguing iridescent hues. Kheer is a favourite among all desis for almost every occasion and can have a range of flavours. Combine the two together and we have an amazing combination. We bring you a lip-smacking recipe for Pista Kheer. It’s delicious, easy to make and even easier to eat!

Ingredients:

Rice (boiled) 1 cup

Milk 1 litre

Sugar 1/2 cup

Cardamom 2-3

Pistachios (ground) 5 tbsp

Method:

Boil milk with cardamom and rice.

Gradually add sugar and keep stirring.

After 10 mins, add in the ground pistachios.

Keep stirring until the mixture thickens and turns a shade of green like the pistachios.

Keep it to cool.

Garnish with more chopped pistachios and serve!
